Overview
RGM Productions, in collaboration with composer Paul Hodge and director Simon Phillips, embarked on the development of Round The Twist The Musical, a theatrical adaptation of the iconic Australian children's TV series. As a key partner in the project, we provided vital services in securing funding, managing workshops, and establishing partnerships to ensure the successful realisation of the production.
We played a crucial role in securing the necessary financial support for the project through the drafting and submission of a successful grant application to the Federal Government's Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) fund. The grant, totalling just under $1 million, provided the essential funding to develop Round The Twist The Musical.
After securing this funding, we were responsible for organising and delivering two developmental workshops for the musical. We managed the intricate process of contracting and negotiating with artists and creatives, ensuring the right talents were secured for the production. In addition, we managed venue logistics. However, it was the stakeholder management that ensured this project would see the stage, securing two production partners for the world premiere, Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Queensland Theatre, scheduled for late 2024.
