Overview
Broad Encounters is a creative organisation that collaborates with artists and innovative minds to produce meaningful live performances and experiences. However, the company faced financial challenges in creating, presenting, and touring new works, particularly after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. To address these challenges, Broad Encounters partnered with us to identify new revenue streams.
We worked closely with Broad Encounters to conduct extensive research on their existing audience base and identify potential opportunities for revenue generation. Through this research, they discovered an innovative approach to engage the audience on a deeper level and encourage them to invest in the development of new works.
We proposed the concept of a membership program that would offer exclusive benefits and insights to the members, such as behind-the-scenes access to dress rehearsals and creative discussions with the cast and creatives.
The first new work to be supported through this membership program was Love Lust Lost, which premiered in Brisbane in October 2022. By investing in the production, members not only provided upfront income for Broad Encounters but also demonstrated their commitment to attending the performances. This early commitment encouraged repeat attendance, fostering a loyal and engaged audience base.
