Overview

Following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, King Street, a bustling precinct in Brisbane, experienced a significant decline in foot traffic and vibrancy. Lendlease, a prominent property development and management company, recognised the need to revitalize King St and bring new life to the area.

They aimed to attract a younger demographic and increase awareness through a placemaking initiative. However, they were uncertain about the best way to activate the area without making substantial investments.

We were tasked with attracting a new wave of visitors and generating buzz around the precinct. By developing a unique activation concept and implementing it in partnership with Valley Fiesta, an initiative by the Brisbane City Council, we could tap into their established audience and gain visibility among the target demographic.

We facilitated negotiations between Lendlease and Valley Fiesta, ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership was established. The agreement included shared marketing efforts, event coordination, and resource allocation to create the King St Food Fiesta.

We also managed the contract negotiations with suppliers and artists for the activation, selecting artists who aligned with the vision and theme of the King St Food Fiesta, ensuring high-quality and diverse experiences for attendees. Throughout the project we managed various stakeholders, effective communication and collaboration were crucial in aligning all parties' interests and ensuring a smooth execution.
